Up for sale is a wonderful sounding player's grade 1927 Martin 0-21 in natural. This example features a spruce top w/ Brazilian rosewood back and sides, 12 fret body design, Pyramid bridge, soft V shaped neck profile and a slotted headstock. This instrument has had a refret with original style fret-wire in its life as well as a neck reset. The finish on the top of the guitar has a different sheen than the back and sides leading us to believe top top was either stripped or oversprayed at some point. There are a few large repaired cracks on the side and very butt of the body as well as finish touch up and some overspray. There is also an inconveniently placed scratch on the back of the neck, likely caused by a strap that was tied on behind the nut. The top and back also has some repaired cracks. That all being said, this instrument is nearly 100 years old and plays and sounds wonderful. Pro setup in housed comes complete with a modern hard case.
NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
