
Up for sale is a stunning and wonderful sounding 1955 Gibson Country Western in its original natural finish. This example features a spruce top w/ mahogany back and sides, bound neck with a chunky profile that measures .90 at the 1st and .99 at the 9th fret, 1 11/16th nut width, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard w/ split parallelogram inlays and a large tort pickguard. Modifications include a set of repro tuners, Matt Umanov sticker on the back of the headstock, a filled strap button hole on the neck heel and a filled / touched up input jack hole on the treble side of the body. Overall in great shape showing finish wear, play wear and finish checking on most of the body. There is a cleated / repaired crack on the top running along the edge of the pickguard and a small repaired crack on the back. Pro setup in house and comes complete with a period correct but non original soft case.
