Up for sale is a fantastic, first year 1959 Gibson ES-330 in its original sunburst finish. This example is largely original and has a fat and full '59 neck profile. There is a "2" stamped on the back of the headstock indicating it left the Gibson factory in 1959 with a finish ding or dent. Being this guitar is 66 years old there is no way to know what the original ding was. This guitar is entirely original, minus a pro refret / bone nut and additional tuner holes from a pair of non original tuners. The original tuners are back on the guitar. This example does have a vintage sheen to the finish with light spotting / clouding. Nothing you wouldn't expect to see on a vintage Gibson, but worth noting. A later 60s era Gibson case is included. No breaks or repairs and condition wise is very nice. It sounds stunning and plays very well with the new frets. Pro setup in house. Weight: 6lbs. 0oz.
NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
